Information sessions on type 2 diabetes

These sessions are offered by a dietitian, a nurse and a primary care exercise specialist  and are designed to help participants with type 2 diabetes learn about the risks and symptoms of this disease, and how to control their blood sugar

Get Better Together!

This six-week program is designed to help people with a chronic illness manage their health. It teaches them to manage pain, deal with fatigue and frustration, and increase their energy level. Participants learn how to talk openly with their health care professional, solve problems and make the most appropriate choices for their well-being. Everything is geared to help them achieve their personal goals under the best possible conditions.

ABCs of relaxation

Practicing meditation and relaxation techniques on a regular basis provides various beneficial effects. It can reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and mood, and reduce chronic pain. This session presents various relaxation techniques to help participants manage stress and anxiety and live in the present moment.

These sessions are conducted by a mental health counsellor and a primary care dietitian. Their aim is to help participants improve self-awareness and develop better self-understanding by focusing on body image and self-esteem.
