Centre de santé Saint-Boniface recognizes that this past year has been a difficult one as the COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc throughout the world. From job losses to financial problems, to isolation from family and friends, many changes have caused a great deal of stress and uncertainty. Centre de santé wants you to know that we are here for you during this difficult time. We are listening.

When Manitoba moved to the “critical” (red) level of the Pandemic Response System, Centre de santé had to reduce its service offerings to those deemed essential and reassign some staff to high priority areas. That decision was made to limit the spread of COVID-19 and to address the urgent needs of the health care system.

Some of our staff supported the COVID-19 testing sites, others joined the Health Links – Info Santé team, and still others were redeployed to various priority health care system facilities and services. The result was a decrease in clinic appointments. Recognizing that access to health care, including mental health care, is paramount, we continued to offer in-person and virtual consultations with our physicians and nurses as needed.

It is important to note that our Walk-In Connected Care Clinic is open seven days a week (except in unforeseen circumstances). The clinic offers consultations with nurse practitioners and primary care nurses who are prepared to meet your immediate, non-emergency medical needs when a primary care health professional is not available within a reasonable time frame.

Please note that if you are a Centre de santé client and your primary care provider is not available, you still have the option of seeing a care provider from the clinic. A member of our team would be happy to help you.
