CENTRE DE SANTÉ SAINT-BONIFACE PRESENTS ITS STRATEGIC PLAN 2022-2027
Winnipeg, Manitoba (May 4, 2023) – Centre de santé Saint-Boniface, a community health organization, presents its new Strategic Plan (2022-2027), which will guide the Centre’s planning, initiatives and activities over the next five years. The plan will help Centre de santé fulfill its mission: to stimulate and support the French-speaking population of Winnipeg and the population of St. Boniface and St. Vital in taking charge of their own health and wellness.
n 2022, Centre de santé completed a great deal of groundwork and transitioned to a new normal. We have striven to better understand our clients and their needs and to adapt to rapid changes in the health care system.
“A quarter of clients surveyed said access to affordable mental health services was important to them, especially for our younger clients. In order to provide high quality mental health services to our clients over the next few years, we hope to hire a primary health nurse specialized in mental health to strengthen our team,” said Rémi Gosselin, Chair of Centre de santé’s Board of Directors.
The strategic plan was developed following a process focused on client needs and determinants of health in order to optimize our resources and achieve our full potential. The plan is based on three strategic objectives: a recognized and innovative centre, responsive and integrated services, and a cohesive and thriving team.
The Centre aims to:
“The Centre de santé team is fully committed to equity, diversity and inclusion to drive innovation and most importantly to better serve our community. It is important to the Centre that our staff and clients are treated fairly and equitably regardless of who they are. In the coming years, we will continue, inter alia, discussions on truth and reconciliation, and we will develop a reconciliation plan with the Indigenous community,” said Stéphanie Roy, Centre de santé Executive Director.
“Shared Health is pleased to work with Centre de santé to better serve the French-speaking population of Winnipeg. We have the opportunity to strengthen our relationship by implementing dynamic strategies and contributing to effective clinical planning. We also want to help support Centre de santé’s progress and the clients it serves,” said Joel Lafond, Provincial Lead, Francophone Health at Shared Health.
The strategic plan highlights Centre de santé’s efforts to continue to meet the needs of the populations that use its services. Accessing primary health care services is not the only way to obtain health information. Centre de santé also offers a variety of wellness activities and programs to provide information and promote healthy habits.
